NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – September 11, 2001 – The TriZetto® Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TZIX) has signed an agreement to provide Ochsner Health Plan (OHP) of New Orleans, La., with TriZetto's HealthWeb® Internet platform, allowing OHP to conduct business over the Internet with affiliated physicians, members, employers and brokers. HealthWeb will interface directly with Ochsner Health Plan's legacy administrative system and will be hosted and managed in TriZetto's primary data center.

Ochsner Health Plan, serving more than 190,000 members throughout Louisiana, is pursuing a comprehensive initiative to bring all of its information systems into compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). According to Ochsner's Senior Vice President of Administration George Renaudin II, HealthWeb will play a key role in that initiative.

"Our members and doctors want a quick and convenient way to make online inquiries about eligibility and coverage, request ID cards, and conduct other routine transactions," said Renaudin. "HealthWeb provides these customer service benefits and transmits information in a manner that is consistent with HIPAA standards. It is an essential piece of our overall HIPAA compliance strategy."

Gail Knopf, chief operating officer of TriZetto's HealthWeb unit, believes that with HIPAA deadlines approaching, an increasing number of health plans will turn to HealthWeb for an Internet solution that helps them reach their HIPAA-compliance goals.
