The ability to administer flexible spending programs under Section 125 of the federal tax code can open up significant business opportunities for your organization. The Flexible Spending component offered by TriZetto® integrates with your QicLink system to provide a complete recordkeeping system for flexible spending. The solution enables you to maintain enrollee contributions, expense and payment information, and track year-to-date activity.

Integration with QicLink saves time and expense by eliminating redundant data entry. Automatic calculation of available plan dollars and appropriate expenses ensures accuracy. Tight integration with MBI, the leading debit-card company, allows for real-time account-balance access, which eliminates manual intervention during expense-reimbursement processing.

The Flexible Spending module gathers statistics and provides reports that help you determine if your flex plan meets Section 125 nondiscrimination rules. The module also provides information regarding the total dollar amount "frozen," or put on reserve, by the system during claim processing. And it enables administrators to generate an explanation of benefits (EOB) for expense amounts not reimbursed.

Benefits:

  • Saves time and expense by eliminating redundant data entry
  • Automates manual tasks
  • Provides a complete recordkeeping system for your flexible spending plans
  • Helps you determine whether your plans are consistent with Section 125 nondiscrimination rules
  • Reduces customer-service calls
