Douglas E. Barnett
Chief Financial Officer
Doug Barnett is chief financial officer for TriZetto, directing all finance, treasury and accounting functions. Barnett’s responsibility warrants that the company meets its financial targets and is correctly funded and structured for current and future business strategies.
Prior to TriZetto, Barnett served as a managing director, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at AlixPartners, a global restructuring, consulting, and financial advisory firm. There he was responsible for the firm’s domestic and international financial operations, planning and analysis, including accounting, treasury, taxes, audit, investor relations, internal controls, external reporting, HR and facilities.
Before joining AlixPartners, Barnett was senior vice president of finance for UGS PLM Software, a division of Siemens Automation and Drives. Barnett was responsible for all finance-related functions across 35 global offices and led the sales strategy and due diligence process for the 2007 acquisition of UGS by Siemens for $3.5 billion. Additionally, he previously served as UGS’s chief financial officer, in which he was responsible for the company’s domestic and international financial operations, planning and analysis, including accounting, treasury, taxes, audit, investor relations, internal controls, SEC reporting, purchasing, real estate, risk management, and corporate administrative functions. With over 25 years of experience, Barnett has also served as chief financial officer, and vice president-finance of Giddings & Lewis Inc., the largest supplier of industrial automation products in North America.
Barnett received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a master of business administration from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
